InsuranceProperly Insured for Your ProtectionIf your property manager makes a mistake that costs you money, does that property management company have the capability of reimbursing you? The court may give you a judgment against the property management company, but what would keep the company from declaring bankruptcy to avoid paying the claim? Echo Summit has a progressive General Liability insurance policy to provide maximum protection for our customers. Worker's Compensation InsuranceAdditionally, every employee at Echo Summit is covered by worker's compensation insurance. This way, if someone were to get injured on your Denver rental property it does not become a liability to you. We also require that all our vendors and contractors are covered as well. Many property management companies do not require their contractors to have this coverage, however, without this protection your liability is far greater than the minor amount of money that would be saved from using an uninsured contractor. If you're unsure about this, call your insurance agent or attorney and ask them about your liability and what a property management firm can do to help protect you. Professional InsuranceBEWARE! ALL fee-based property managers are required to carry E&O insurance that backs up their personal real estate licenses. THIS IS NOT ENOUGH. What happens when the property management company makes a mistake that causes the pipes to burst... or a child gets ill from eating lead based paint... or worse. Echo carries not just E&O insurance, but a large Professional Liability insurance policy that helps ensure our owners are protected from worst-case scenarios. |
